For a child or adult with disabilities, therapeutic horseback riding is much more than riding around a ring. It's a way to discover a whole new world of adventure, freedom, responsibility, dignity and excitement. Most importantly, it provides an overwhelming sense of accomplishment for everyone involved - riders, volunteers, parents, and sponsors.
Adopt A Horse
$3,000 per year or $250 per month covers the cost of maintaining one of Freedom Ride's therapy horses. Your donation to this fund assists with the cost of feed, shelter, medicine, hoof care, and supplies needed to maintain one of our team of specially selected horses. Sponsors for our horses are recognized, if so desired, with their name on a plaque placed on the stall door of the sponsored horse and in our quarterly newsletter.
Start A Rider Scholarship Program
All of Freedom Ride's riders receive a partial scholarship, as our rider fee covers less than 50% of the actual cost of providing this unique service. Many of our students are in need of a scholarship in order to be able to ride. Your generous support will allow a child or adult experience "horsepower for the spirit�.
