Sponsorship/Donations
For a child or adult with disabilities, therapeutic
horseback riding is much more than riding around a ring. It's a
way to discover a whole new world of adventure, freedom, responsibility,
dignity and excitement. Most importantly, it provides an overwhelming
sense of accomplishment for everyone involved - riders, volunteers,
parents, and sponsors. For information on other donation options,

Adopt A Horse
$3,000 per year or $250 per month covers the the cost
of maintaining one of Freedom Ride's therapy horses. Your
donation to this fund assists with the cost of feed, shelter,
medicine, hoof care, and supplies needed to maintain one of
our team of specially selected horses. Sponsors for our horses are
recognized, if so desired, with their name on a plaque placed
on the stall door of the sponsored horse and in our quarterly newsletter.
Start A Rider Scholarship Program
All of Freedom Ride's riders receive a partial scholarship, as our rider fee covers less than 50% of the actual cost of providing this unique service. Many of our students are in need of a scholarship in order to be able to ride. Your generous support will allow a child or adult experience the "horsepower for the spirit.
Sponsor an Event
Freedom
Ride will gladly work with you to sponsor a fund raising event.
Please contact info@freedomride.com
for information regarding this and all other sponsorship opportunities.
Whether you choose to sponsor a rider, adopt a horse,
or donate needed equipment, be assured that your contribution will
touch many lives. Any amount, large or small, is a gift of freedom.
As Freedom Ride is a 501c3, non-profit organization,
all donations are tax deductible.
Donor Recognition
Gifts will be recognized throughout the facility as well as in
information packets and media literature.
Other donor names will be recognized with a creatively designed
commemorative plaque strategically located at the entrance to the
room or area sponsored.
Within this cornerstone park in the heart of our community, this
facility will be a showcase for community philanthropy. The story
of how the charitable community, through corporate and individual
sponsorship, came together on behalf of children and families will
be told for years to come.
While we work hard to enrich the lives and experiences of children
and adults with disabilities, we appreciate and need support from
individuals and corporations like you. It is through your commitment
of resources that we will be better able to serve so many more children
and adults through this unique program.
Thank you, for your willingness to consider participating in this
important undertaking.

Your Philanthropy In Action
In their own words:
"One of our biggest concerns was to try to find a way to show
our son that there was more to the world than a view from a wheelchair.
That he didn’t have to always watch from the sidelines, that
he COULD participate, compete and most importantly have fun interacting
with other able-bodied children as well as physically disabled children.
Freedom Ride has given us that and more than any written words can
describe"
- Proud father
"A student who experienced extreme anxiety when presented
with open spaces and would only touch a horse with a finger while
crying, is now sitting proud on a horse. He no longer exhibits anxiety
in open spaces with his mother in parking lots or at school when
walking the track"
- Educator, Lee Middle School Autistic Unit.
"My daughter can’t talk, has mental retardation and
attention deficit disorder. Although she won’t stay in place
for more than 30 seconds, she makes no attempt to come off the horse
in over 30 minutes. She does not fear the height or the speed, even
when they trot. She works her leg muscles trying to maintain her
balance, and although she does not tolerate anyone touching her
head, she tolerates the helmet because she wants to ride"
- Proud Mother
"Having been a local business owner and very athletic person,
you can imagine how much my life was altered after suffering a stroke.
It depressed me that I could not participate in most of the sports
and activities I enjoyed...numerous people are aware of what this
program has done for me both emotionally and physically"
